How it Works

The basic premise behind Kindred Match is that true compatibility starts with friendship. Friendship provides the foundation for every lasting personal relationship, regardless of where that relationship eventually leads.

Kindred Match is a relationship development platform that takes a structured approach to creating your profile, providing a meaningful way to compare yourself with others using common criteria.

The Kindred Match platform consists of six key components that form the foundation of your profile:

• General Information
• Compatibility Survey
• Verification Process
• Interests
• Additional Photos
• My Story

The first three components are required before you are given access to the platform. Identifying your interests, uploading additional photos and creating your story help to complete your profile and give others a better understanding of who you are. We highly recommend adding them once your profile has been verified.

The General Information form contains basic information, including your first name (or nickname), zip code, height, body type, gender, education, employment status, and relationship status. We understand that you may not wish to share every detail, so some fields include a "Prefer not to say" option. These will appear in your profile.

Although you must provide a valid email address and phone number, they are used only to verify that you are a real person and to send notifications. We will never share your email address or phone number with anyone for any purpose. Therefore, they will NOT appear in your profile. You may choose not to receive email or text notifications, but notifications will always be available within the platform.

The Compatibility Survey compares your outlook on life with that of other members, producing an overall compatibility score. The survey consists of eleven categories:

1. Core Values – Your belief system, political orientation, and long-term goals.
2. Communication Style – How you communicate, show affection, and express your opinions.
3. Conflict Resolution – How you address disagreements, handle conflict, and maintain emotional control.
4. Emotional Needs – The emotional support you value, what you appreciate in a partner, and how much time you prefer to spend together.
5. Family Life – Your parenting style, family relationships, and preferred living environment.
6. Daily Life and Routine – Your daily routines, planning style, and the importance you place on punctuality.
7. Managing Money – Your spending habits, approach to saving, and comfort with financial risk.
8. Social Lifestyle – Your social preferences, personality, and how often you enjoy going out.
9. Physical Attraction – The importance of physical attraction, physical fitness, and sexual compatibility.
10. Tabacco Use – Whether you smoke, vape or chew tobacco.
11. Other Habits – These include cannabis, alcohol and gambling.

The Verification Process ensures that every profile represents a real person. It consists of four steps:

1. Upload a headshot – A photo showing only your face. This image becomes the primary photo displayed on your profile, so choose a recent photo that represents you well.
2. Take a selfie – Using advanced facial comparison technology, your selfie is compared with your headshot to confirm they are of the same person.
3. Verify your phone number – A verification code is sent to your phone by text message.
4. Verify your email address – A verification code is sent to your email address.

Once verification is complete, you'll gain full access to the platform, where you can enhance your profile by identifying your interests, uploading additional photos and creating your story.

Identifying your interests will give you the opportunity to see whether you have shared interests when viewing someone else’s profile. These often provide a natural starting point for meaningful conversations. You may even discover new activities that you can explore when viewing their other interests.

Additional photos allow you to provide a more in-depth look at your lifestyle and personality. Your verified headshot is displayed as the primary image on your profile.

The final component is called My Story. How you introduce yourself to others plays a significant role in establishing meaningful connections. After all, first impressions are lasting impressions. They often set the tone for future interactions and can greatly influence how relationships develop.

Many people find it difficult to write about themselves. Others aren't sure where to begin or struggle to organize their thoughts into a well-written introduction. That's exactly why we created My Story.

Rather than asking you to stare at a blank page, My Story gives you the option to have us generate your story, using information you've already provided. In addition, you may also complete one or more prompts to add more detail and to help identify your writing style. When you choose this option, we organize your story into four sections:

• About Me
• Things I Like to Do
• What's Important to Me
• What I'm Looking For.

The result is a natural, well-written story that reflects your personality and communicates who you are in a clear, engaging way. Afterwards, you can revise your story if you like. You're always in control of the final version.

Creating a compelling profile isn't about writing the perfect introduction. It's about telling your story honestly and authentically. That's the philosophy behind Kindred Match. We believe meaningful relationships begin by truly getting to know one another in a meaningful way. My Story is designed to help you make that first introduction with confidence.

As you can see, this entire process is a comprehensive approach to creating a compelling profile. It's designed for people who are serious about building meaningful, kindred relationships. Where it goes from there is entirely up to you.

Searching Profiles

Once you’ve created and refined your profile, you can begin to search for kindred matches. You begin by defining your search preferences, which include:

• Whether you want your profile to show up in searches – you may want to wait until your profile is refined to your liking, or you may want to take a break for a while
• The zip code you wish to use for your search - which may be different than the one you provided in General Information
• Maximum distance from the zip code - we don't ask for your street address, so your zip code provides a general location for determining distance
• Your preferred minimum and maximum age
• Whether you want to meet men, women, or everyone

When viewing the results of your search, you’ll have the option to bookmark profiles that you’re interested in. Later on, you may select the option to view just the profiles you’ve bookmarked.

You can search and bookmark profiles without a subscription. However, you’ll need a subscription in order to connect with others. Your first month costs a mere $3.00, giving you the opportunity to evaluate Kindred Match before you decide whether to continue using the platform.

To make a connection, you must first send a request. The recipient then has the option to accept or decline your request. The same holds true if someone sends a request to you. This allows both parties to determine whether a connection makes sense.

When a request is accepted, you’ll have the option to engage in a chat session, where you can really get to know each other.

If the request is declined, both profiles will be permanently removed from future searches by the other party. The same holds true if you or the other party elects to disconnect for whatever reason.
